Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Officer – Materials & Planning, who is responsible for the management of materials kitting and staging and accurate and timely entry of maintenance data from various workshop documents and reports into the company’s maintenance management software or database. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the data used for analyzing equipment performance, scheduling preventive maintenance, and facilitating decision-making for repairs and replacements are reliable and up to date. This role reports to the Superintendent — Maintenance (Mobile/​Underground).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the staging of materials post-collection from the warehouse, ensuring all items are kitted accurately and efficiently
  • Provide additional information about kitted materials to support the execution team’s tasks
  • Ensure all required parts for upcoming shifts are ready for execution, including Preventive Maintenance (PM) and corrective tasks.
  • Efficiently collect and organize maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and related documents from the maintenance workshop
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems to facilitate easy retrieval and reference of maintenance data records
  • Proactively identify and rectify data entry errors or inconsistencies to maintain data integrity
  • Promptly report any discrepancies or irregularities in the data to the Maintenance Supervisor or Reliability Engineer
  • Reconcile downtime data with the Mine control
  • Assist in committing parts to jobs in Pronto and collect parts for the team from the warehouse.


Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Graduate of mechanical engineering

Work Experience and Background:

  • Experience in data management or similar positions

Specialization/​License:

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer
  • Professional Driver’s Licensed

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with maintenance operations and terminology is an advantage
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Problem-Solving Abilities
