Sustainability Governance
Ethical practices and high standards of corporate governance are central to how we do business. From exploration to closure we identify and manage our impacts across the entire lifecycle of our assets.
Our Responsible Mining Framework
We operate under a comprehensive framework that guides our business decisions, activities, and commitments. Anchored by our Vision, Values, and Code of Conduct, it is centred on an Integrated Management System, which includes Board-endorsed policies covering key sustainability areas, performance standards and guidelines.
Our Framework is informed by the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Standard, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard and is independently reviewed annually for alignment with these Standards. It also supports our commitment to the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).
Our Policies
Our Policies outline our commitments to high standards of performance, governance and ethics.
Board Oversight
Strong governance ensures our sustainability commitments are upheld and that we conduct business safely and responsibly.
Oversight and strategic direction of our sustainability approach and performance sits with our Board’s Sustainability Committee, which is governed by a formal charter, documenting the Committee’s composition and responsibilities.
Risk Management
Risk management is integrated at every level of our business. We conduct periodic materiality assessments, scenario analyses and internal audits to identify, assess and mitigate risks, manage impacts and identify opportunities.
Responsible Gold Mining Principles
The World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs) is a framework that sets out clear expectations for what constitutes responsible gold mining. It covers 10 principles to address key environmental, social and governance issues for the sector.
We conform to the RGMPs and report on our conformance annually.
