Job Description
The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
The Business Partner – Talent Management and Development is responsible for the execution and implementation of talent management and development programs across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Business Partner – TMD, the role ensures that approved talent strategies, frameworks, and programs are delivered effectively, consistently, and in line with business requirements.
The role implements core talent processes and coordinates with line managers, HR partners, and learning providers to operationalize development initiatives, track progress, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
The Business Partner – TMD monitors implementation effectiveness, maintains accurate talent and development records, and provides insights and feedback to support continuous improvement. The role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and delivery-driven, ensuring that talent initiatives translate into measurable capability uplift at the individual and team levels.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Leads training and development initiatives, applying advanced instructional design principles, technology-enabled learning approaches, and evaluation methods to maximize training effectiveness
Leads talent management initiatives that align with organizational strategy and foster a high-performance culture
Qualifications

Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration or related field.
Work Experience and Background:
- At least 3 – 5 years of relevant professional experience in roles requiring strong stakeholder management, coordination and delivery of people- or business-related initiatives such as:
- Talent Management, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition
- Project coordination or program implementation roles
- Organizational development, employee engagement, or capability-building initiatives
- Experience demonstrating the ability to:
- Work closely with managers and cross-functional teams
- Translate requirements into executable actions
- Track progress, follow through deliverables, and manage timelines
- Prepare reports, documentation, and data summaries to support decision-making
- Amenable to report in Didipio, Nueva Vizcaya
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of people and capability development principles, including competency assessment and development planning
- Understanding of training and development methods (formal learning, on-the-job learning, coaching, mentoring)
- Basic understanding of talent management processes such as IDPs, succession support, and talent risk identification
- Awareness of governance, documentation, and compliance requirements in HR processes
Skills:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Effective execution, coordination, and follow-through across multiple initiatives
- Ability to translate requirements, assessments, or data into practical actions
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Data tracking, reporting, and basic analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, and ability to work with HR or project tracking systems
Abilities:
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within agreed timelines
- Ability to work independently with guidance and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to operate effectively in structured, process-driven environments
- Ability to adapt quickly to new frameworks, tools, and business requirements
- Ability to build credibility and trust with managers and team members
