David Bickerton, Chief Sustainability Officer 

David was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer in April 2026. 

David joined OceanaGold in 2011 and has held a range of senior leadership roles spanning project development, execution, operations, and closure, across the Company’s operations and projects. Most recently, he served as Asset President of the Didipio Mine in the Philippines from August 2022 to March 2026, where he was responsible for operational performance, stakeholder engagement, and long-term asset stewardship. 

Throughout his career with OceanaGold, David has been Project Director for the Waihi Expansion in New Zealand, where he led the consenting strategy and lodgement of the Waihi North consent application, General Manager Project Execution overseeing the Reefton Restoration closure program in New Zealand, Vice President Project Execution for the construction and commissioning of the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina, Integration Manager for the Waihi Gold Mine acquisition, General Manager Didipio Operations, and Project Manager for the Didipio Project Execution phase. 

Prior to joining OceanaGold, David held roles across the resources sector with Lihir Gold in Papua New Guinea, the Yabulu Nickel Refinery in Queensland, and Transfield Services in Queensland and Western Australia. 

David holds a Diploma of Project Management from Deakin University and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Management.
