Proposed Resource Consent Conditions

43 a. Provide the consent holder with additional information about the hydrogeological system in the Wharekirauponga Catchment to manage mining operations and the associated requirement to control groundwater ingress in a manner that ensures compliance with Condition 5; and b. Provide the consent authority with additional information to assist in determining that the activity is being undertaken in a manner which complies with Condition 5. Numerical modelling of the hydrogeological system shall be applied to inform the Baseline Data Collection Plan. Prior to submitting the Plan to the Consent Authority, it must be provided to the Expert Groundwater Management Panel for review and comment in accordance with Conditions 20 - 26. The Consent Holder may make amendments to the Baseline Data Collection Plan at any time, subject to those amendments being considered and accepted by the Expert Groundwater Management Panel. 10 The Baseline Data Collection Plan shall be prepared by a suitably qualified and experienced professional(s) and, at minimum, shall include: a. Information obtained from a rainfall gauge which collects rainfall data from a representative site or sites within the Wharekirauponga Catchment; b. The consent holder’s investigations into the hydrogeological system are ongoing and it is expected that by the time the application reaches the hearing stage the additional baseline data required to be collected post commencement of the consent will be more refined and this will be reflected in a more refined condition.
