The Consent Holder may comply with Condition 26 by incorporating the Willows Rock Stack Storage Monitoring Report into an overarching Monitoring Report which covers the Consent Holders various rock and tailings storage facilities. Mataura Wetland 27 Prior to any disturbance or reclamation authorised by this consent the Consent Holder shall undertake baseline monitoring of the Mataura Wetland vegetation and confirm the hydrological conditions that sustain this vegetation. The results of this monitoring shall be reported to the Waikato Regional Council. 28 At five yearly intervals after the commencement of this consent, the Consent Holder shall monitor the condition of the Mataura wetland vegetation and the hydrological conditions that sustain this wetland. Where there have been significant changes in the existing wetland flora or soil moisture levels such that the ecological value or extent of the wetland has been adversely affected the Consent Holder shall: a. Characterise and assess the source of the change; and b. Take all necessary measures to ensure that the ecological health and extent of the Gladstone wetland is restored to preconstruction baseline conditions. The results of this monitoring and any actions taken to ensure compliance with (b) shall be provided to the Waikato Regional Council.
