ENGAGEMENT OUTCOMES Table 2 above outlines the various forms of engagement undertaken for this project. Table 3 below identifies the areas where landowners / tenants were identified as being directly affected by WNP and summarises the key RMA issues. A more complete summary of engagement is contained in Appendix C. 5.1 RESIDENTS IN THE LOCAL AREA 5.1.1 STREET EVENTS Street events were held to target groups of residents who were identified as being close proximity residents. Outcomes of engagement with the following groups are summarised in Table 3: • Willows Road Surface Infrastructure Proximity Residents including Highlands Road. • Tunnel Alignment Proximity Residents. • Gladstone Open Pit Proximity Residents. • Tailings Storage Facility and Northern Rock Stack Proximity Residents. Impact on potable water from dust and other pollution settling on roofs and on the surface of the stream which is used for drinking in the summer months.  Safety of livestock moving between farms due to increased traffic.  Potential shortage of accommodation due to increased demand from a larger workforce in Waihi and surrounds.  Change in night lighting from construction and around the portal entrance and other security and operational lighting and its impact on sleep and amenity.  Impacts of blasting on wellbeing.
