Lighting Assessment WAI-985-000-REPLC-0019_Rev 0.Docx Waihi North Project Page 23 of 35 21/06/2022 Assessment of Environmental Effects: Lighting REVISION: 0 - Final 3.6 PROCESSING PLANT AND WATER TREATMENT PLANT 3.6.1 Existing Lighting The existing Processing Plant and Water Treatment Plant areas feature lighting systems typical of industrial plant. Lighting is provided throughout the exterior and interior of the Processing Plant area and the exterior of the Water Treatment Plant. Luminaires represent a mixture of lamp sources including High Pressure Sodium (orange colour), metal halide (cool white colour), fluorescent (cool white colour), and Light Emitting Diode (LED) (cool white colour). Lighting includes the following: • Area floodlighting luminaires (High pressure sodium, metal halide, and LED sources) mounted on buildings and dedicated lighting poles. Luminaires are installed with the face of the luminaire at various aiming angles (Reference Figure 7, Figure 11, and Figure 12). • Conveyor walkway pole mounted bulkhead luminaires (Figure 13 and Figure 14) • Lighting within the interior of buildings is visible externally through windows and open doorways (reference Figure 15, Figure 16, Figure 17, Figure 18, and Figure 19) • Typical streetlighting luminaires (Reference Figure 18 – left side) Figure 11: Typical Pole Mounted LED Area Light
