NUMERICAL MITIGATION MODEL The conceptual mitigation model based on the CHM will be adapted and developed within the numerical hydrogeological model when this is completed in the second phase of the study. Numerical representation of the engineered mitigation will allow predictive assessment of the effects on groundwater movement resulting from tunnelling and mining operations. These assessments will then be used to adjust grouting patterns to reduce these effects and confirm the suitability of a range of methods and application (from underground chambers, shafts, declines, etc).
