SECTION 7 Northern Rock Stack C:\D Data\GWS C Drive\GWS\Client Files\1344 OGL - WKP\4 Deliverables\WUG Effects Summary\June 2022\WNP Groundwater Effects Summary_Final_Rev_0.docx 27 Figure 29 NRS Surface water and Groundwater Investigation Locations (From GHD 2022) 7.3 Hydrologic and Hydrogeologic Setting The proposed footprint of the NRS will be positioned over an existing perennial stream and its intermittently flowing tributaries, which currently discharges into the Ohinemuri River. The geology beneath the NRS shows no clear separation of shallow and deeper groundwater systems. This is due to the presence of multiple alluvial paleochannels within and overlying variable volcanics (ignimbrite, dacite and rhyolite) as shown on Figure 30. Overall, it is interpreted that the groundwater systems are hydraulically connected and collectively discharge to the Ohinemuri River west of the NRS. Figure 30 NRS Geologic Section (From GHD 2022)
