The system consists of three main vein sets (referred to as the Eastern Graben, Tewaotemutu Stream and Western), each which consist of a main vein some meters in width, with hanging wall and footwall stringer veins sets also present. The entire area is largely overlain by post-mineralisation andesite, however the rhyolite host rocks are exposed at the surface locally as shown by the darker yellow areas of Figure 6 and 7.
