381_M_05_Rev0 - WUG Monitoring and Testing Program 5 The following procedures will be completed on the Phase 2 infrastructure : • Water levels; • Installation of instruments for ongoing data acquisition; • Field Parameters (pH, Temp, DO, EC, TDS & Redox); and • Water chemistry sampling (samples to be sent to laboratory for analysis). 3.3.1. WATER LEVELS Standing water levels will be taken from standpipe piezometers by using a water level meter and groundwater level logger. Pore pressure, converted as mH2O will be recorded at multi-level VWPs grouted downhole (frequency to be defined in the Monitoring Program). 3.3.2. FIELD PARAMETERS Field parameters techniques will include all methods adapted to the parameter to be analysed (such as pumps or bailers. Field parameters such as pH, Temperature, TDS, EC and other parameters will be collected. Automated probes might be considered to analyse seasonal variations. 3.3.3. WATER CHEMISTRY SAMPLING The monitoring wells will be sampled to provide background data for natural conditions and identify groundwater interaction between the shallow and deep aquifer. The water will be collected using a range of methods, including pumping, low-flow purging and passive sampling. 3.4. HYDRAULIC TESTING PROGRAM It is proposed to conduct a series of hydraulic tests to refine the hydraulic conductivity of groundwater through the media (aquifer) via artificial stress. In addition to the slug tests and packer tests already applied at the site, it is proposed to complete infiltration tests on grounds surrounding the streams, streambed conductance testing (in-bed testing) and constant head/rate tests on near-stream shallow piezometers. The following procedures will be completed on the Phase 1 infrastructure: • Slug Tests and Packer Tests (hydraulic parameters); and • Constant Head/Rate Tests (aquifer connectivity). The following procedures will be completed on the Phase 2 infrastructure : • Infiltration testing; • Streambed conductance testing (vertical hydraulic conductivity); and • Slug Tests (hydraulic parameters); Phase 2 network tasks will be packaged up with testing of the Phase 1 infrastructure once concession for further testing is granted.
