Grout Pumping and Injection Operations TR 003 ▪ Transfer the water from the Grout Mixer into the Agitator Tank by turning the tube valve lever to the discharge position (to the left) and starting the mixer. The water will discharge into the agitator tank. Turn off mixer when water has discharged. ▪ Re-check that the main pump recirculation valve is open and discharge valve is closed. ▪ Turn on the Grout Pump by turning the pump on/off lever down (for high pressure operation) or up (for low pressure operation). ▪ To start the Grout Pump moving, turn the pressure regulation knob (low pressure or high pressure depending on which setting you have turned the on/off lever to) clockwise just 1 or 2 turns. ▪ Then use the flow regulation valve and turn anticlockwise until the Grout Pump starts moving (visually check piston rod movement). ▪ Run the Grout Pump until water is flowing through the grout pump without air pockets and recirculating back into the Agitator Tank, using the flow regulation valve to increase or decrease the speed of the pump. Once this is done, we can preset the maximum grouting pressure as follows;
