Grout Pumping and Injection Operations TR 003 ▪ Check hydraulic oil level – it should be at least half full on the level indicator. ▪ Finally check that the agitator tank & mixer are clear of any foreign materials that will not affect the quality of the grout mix. 1.4.3 Start-up and Operation (following Prestart) ▪ Connect power supply cable to plant – on this plant it is set up for 440 Volt, 22kW as for Jumbo. ▪ Turn on power supply and turn plant isolator switch to ON to power the plant (rotate anticlockwise, until handle vertical). ▪ Prior to connecting water supply, check the Y-Strainer is clear of debris. ▪ Check the pressure reducing valve to no more than 4 bar/60 psi to prevent damage to flow meter. ▪ Connect plant water inlet and open valve. ▪ Set the batch water meter to 20 litres and check to see that water supply is operating correctly and that water flows into the mixer. Volume must be accurately checked with a 10 litre and/or 20 litre bucket. ▪ Then check the filter indicator and ensure not in red. If so, return filter will need to be replaced (contact fitter).
