Your supervisor will hand out the daily services shift plan. Receive handover information from the off-going shift and plan the job with your supervisor. It is important to fully understand the task allocated to you so you can complete it accurately and on time. Discuss and organise: ▪ location of grouting equipment ▪ job status ▪ job site conditions and hazards ▪ equipment, personnel and materials required ▪ ground conditions ▪ grouting conditions at the face. Obtain the instructions from Supervisor and batch cards for the mixing of grout to the specifications required for the particular area of the mine being grouted. Instructions may come in various forms, for example the Daily Shift Plan as seen in the below image and information from your cross-shift. Other documentation to obtain at the start of your shift should include the following: ▪ Cover Drilling & Grouting Shift Report – this will be given to you either directly from the driller or your Supervisor. ▪ Face Grouting Hole Summary – this will come from your Supervisor. ▪ Pressure Grouting Report must also be obtained as these need to be completed during your shift. ▪ Also don’t forget the Pump Pre-Start Book!
