Grout Pumping and Injection Operations TR 003 INTRODUCTION Purpose The purpose of this training package is to provide personnel with the knowledge and training to competently and safely conduct high pressure pumping and injection grouting for the control of ground water and ground consolidation at Didipio Mine. Grouting creates a reduced permeability zone around development drives that intersect significant water risk zones. Grouting allows development to continue through these areas with minimised risk of water inundation. Scope This training package includes the following key elements for the control of ground water at Didipio: ▪ Safe operation of UniGrout High Pressure Grouting Platform. o To enable personnel involved in the project to safely operate the grouting platform as intended by the O.E.M. ▪ Mixing of Grout to Specifications. o To make participants aware of the component materials, basic properties of the products used, the reason they are used, grout mix batch cards & the importance of correct mixing procedures. ▪ Q.A. Testing of Grout mixes. o Details the performing of basic Quality Control tests on the grout to ensure the grout injected during the process meets the required specifications as intended by the design. ▪ Grout Injection. o Details the correct methods for operating the grout plant to inject grout. ▪ Recording of Grouting process. o To instruct the participant in proper record keeping of the grouting process and to understand the importance of record keeping for analysis and future planning of the grouting process. ▪ Cleaning of Plant. o To instruct the participant how to clean and maintain the equipment. ▪ Implementation of Grout plan. o To educate the participants to be actively involved in the implementation of the plan, to follow grouting flow charts and make judgement calls on the next step according to information already gathered on reports.
