8 aquifer zones were identified based on hydrograph response and structure analysis. Aquifer zone 5 showed the highest hydraulic conductivity and was the location of all past major water intersects. Targeted dewatering of zone 5 allowed to significantly drop the water pressure at the main development heading (2500 kPa700kPa in 2 months). Drilling through valved standpipes mitigated the risk of uncontrolled water inflows through drill holes. Dewatering and optimization of standpiping and grouting methods has allowed a sequential reduction in the cycle time for development through high water risk areas. Mineright
