Supporting Technical Assessments

M E M O R A N D U M 8 confidence and significance ranking will assist in prioritising future groundwater investigations and is summarised in Table 2. No hydrological data exists for zones 1, 2 and 4. As no development is proposed for zones 1 and 2 they have a low significance. Zone 4 however contains the majority of the shaft sink and has therefore a large significance for the mine. Future hydrological investigations via diamond hole drilling and piezometer installation are strongly recommended for this zone. The zone with the next lowest data density is Zone 7, which contains the upper part of the shaft sink. It is recommended that this zone should also be further investigated.
