GHD | Oceana Gold New Zealand Ltd. | 12552081 | Waihi North Project 33 Figure 20 Mataura Stream flooding depth 100 Year ARI flood 3.3.2 Ohinemuri River A hydraulic model of the Ohinemuri River was developed with the software MIKE 21 in order to develop inundation maps for a range of floods in the vicinity of the mine site and town. The maps were developed in order to assess whether proposed new areas of development are at risk of flooding and also to check that flood levels upstream or downstream will not be increased due to the proposed site development. As can be seen in Figure 21, the NRS is located close to the Ohinemuri River. Overall modelling shows that there is minimal infringement on the natural flood plain with no impacts on upstream or downstream flood levels due to the WNP.
