REV DATE REVISION DETAILS APPROVED 0 03.02.22 Draft for review Project WAIHI NORTH Title Erosion & Sediment Control Plan Northern Rock Stack – Stage 2 Drawn ZW Checked MP Drawing No. ESCP-NRS-002-02 Sheet No. 5 NOTES 1. All erosion and sediment controls will be installed and maintained in accordance with the Waikato Regional Council Technical Report 2009/02 ‘Erosion and Sediment Control Guidelines for Soil Disturbing Activities’ (TR2009/02). 2. Completed areas to be stabilised in accordance with TR2009/02. 3. All erosion and sediment control measures will be inspected on a daily basis by the site foreman. 4. Site monitoring will be undertaken before and immediately after rain as well as during heavy rainfall events. Any required maintenance or improvements to control measures will be undertaken immediately. SRP-NRS-08 Catchment area: 1.0ha Total volume: 300m3 Dead storage: 90m3 Live storage: 210m3 Refer to specific SRPNRS-07 design details. Clean water diversion bund constructed using stripped topsoil to divert uphill clean water around the work area. Construction Methodology – Lower section of permanent uphill clean water diversion - Initially a silt fence will be installed below the footprint of SRP-NRS-08. The SRP will then be constructed at the approximate location shown. - Perimeter bunding (clean water and dirty water diversions) will be constructed (likely topsoil stripped from the footprint of works) and stabilised on the external ‘clean’ side of the bunds to direct runoff to the SRP for treatment. - Earthworks will then commence and progress upslope towards the completed section of the permanent uphill clean water diversion. - The permanent uphill clean water diversion will be stabilised as per final design details and the haul road will be sheeted with aggregate. Once this has been completed, SRPNRS-08 will be decommissioned and this section of the permanent clean water diversion completed. - The upstream tie in works with the upper section of permanent clean water diversion will need to be completed during a period of fine weather where the flows can be over pumped with the tie work is completed. Lower section of the permanent uphill clean water diversion. Stream flowing through completed section of permanent uphill clean water diversion and temporarily discharging back into the existing stream at approximately chainage 650. Temporary clean water culvert. Design details TBC with final SSESCP. KEY Erosion and Sediment Control Clean Water Diversion Dirty Water Diversion Culvert Silt Fence Sediment Retention Pond Extent of haul road constructed once stream is flowing through the permanent uphill diversion drain. Refer to ESCP-NRS-002-03 for details. Approximate exiting stream alignment.
