GHD | Oceana Gold New Zealand Ltd. | 12552081 | Waihi North Project G-3 Area of interest The specific catchment area of interest for this study is the proposed project area east of the township of Waihi in the upper river catchment. This is the location of existing mining infrastructure, with TSF’s to the east of the Ohinemuri River and plant areas to the west of the river. The Project will introduce the NRS to the north of the site access bridge. A focus of the model is to define the floodplain extent in the reach where there is existing mine infrastructure and future development is proposed. Also of interest is any impact of site development on the Waihi township. An overview of the model area of interest is provided in Figure 3. Figure 3 Ohinemuri River model area of interest
