Supporting Technical Assessments

June 2022 G-01483.84-017-R-Rev0 Because the 13 Particle Size Distribution (PSD) Particle size distribution data was gathered for 14 samples from test pits (WFTP015, 017, 024, 027 and 028), boreholes (WFBH002, 004, 009) and drillhole (WNDD007). A summary of the results is presented in (Figure 7) below which illustrates the grading curves for the sampled soils. The high percentage of fines in the grading curves correspond to soils of high plasticity. Figure 7: Results of particle size distribution tests on samples from Willow Road farm. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis XRD analysis was undertaken to identify mineralogy of constituent particles of 10 samples from test pits (WFTP015, 017, 024, 027 and 028), boreholes (WFBH002, 004, 009) and drillhole (WNDD007).
