4 Condition Explanation Regional Council. If a revised timeframe has been advised, confirmation shall be made in accordance with that timeframe. e. Should the Waikato Regional Council decline to certify the material amendment or request the incorporation of changes to the material amendment, the Consent Holder may then resubmit a revised material amendment to the management plan. The certification process for a revised material amendment shall follow the same process described above in Conditions G7 (a) to (d). Erosion and Sediment Control Conditions G8 Conditions G8 – G33 apply to land disturbance and works within watercourses in Areas 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7, where those works occur within areas not subject to permanent stormwater management infrastructure. They do not apply to land disturbance in areas which are isolated from waterbodies and adjacent land using permanent diversion drains, silt ponds, collection ponds and / or other permanent mine water management infrastructure established under Resource Consent [insert cross reference to relevant consents] This condition recognises that earthworks will be occurring in and around an existing mine site which already has an extensive stormwater management system in place. It clarifies that these conditions only apply to areas not already covered by that existing system, and only until such time as the permanent stormwater management system for new mine components established under these resource consents is in place. Erosion and Sediment Control G9 In any area specified in Condition G8 the Consent Holder shall establish and maintain erosion and sediment control measures in a manner, which is: a. Consistent with Waikato Regional Council Technical Report No. 2009/02 Erosion and Sediment Control Guidelines for Soil Disturbing Activities, January 2009 (TR2009/02); and b. In general accordance with Erosion and Sediment Control Assessment Report by Southern Skies dated June 2022 which was submitted as Part H of the application documents. G10 The Consent Holder shall ensure that, as far as practicable, all clean water run-off from stabilised surfaces including catchment areas up gradient of the site is diverted away from the exposed areas via a stabilised system to prevent erosion. The Consent Holder shall also ensure the outfall(s) of these systems are protected against erosion.
