B-2 – Area 4 - Assessment of Environmental Effects 7 2.4 EXISTING AND CONSENTED MINING ACTIVITIES There are no existing consented mining activities within Area 4, excepting the existing Waihi SFA at the southern extent. 2.5 ZONING As shown in Figure 4, Area 4 is mainly located within Rural Zone. A small section where it crosses the Ohinemuri River is within the Reserve (Passive) Zone. Where it enters the Waihi SFA, Area 4 is located within the Martha Mineral Zone. 2.6 LAND OWNERSHIP AND DWELLINGS Land ownership and dwellings in the vicinity of Area 4 are shown in Figure 5, below. Area 4 is either located within road reserve or OGNZL land, with the exception of a small section which traverses Lot 2 DP 50190 as highlighted on Figure 5
