Site-specific Assessments of Environmental Effects

B-2 – Area 2 - Assessment of Environmental Effects 34 ensure the required offsets are achieved from private land, publicly accessible lands and structures. A Class 5 emulsion magazine will be established in the Willows SFA. This will be fenced and have appropriate separation distances from combustibles. 3.2.15 Willows Portal The Willows Portal will form one of two entries to the mine. A second entrance will be developed near the Processing Plant (Area 5). An example of a mine portal is shown in Figure 19. The Willows Portal will be located within the Willows SFA within the area shown on Figure 17. Its precise siting depends on the outcomes of geotechnical investigations. Figure 19: Example Tunnel Portal. 3.3 WILLOWS ACCESS TUNNEL 3.3.1 Overview Within Area 2, a single heading tunnel will be constructed between the Willows Portal and the southern boundary of the CFP.
