There is a perched culvert on Tributary 2 where a dam has created a small online pond, likely used for stock watering. There are a few other man-made (culverts) and natural partial barriers to fish passage along the tributary reach. Sediment cover across the stream is low, but there is higher cover in reaches with lesser gradients. Macroinvertebrate assemblages and indices were reflective of the habitat. Fish species richness is low with only shortfin eel detected, likely due to the aforementioned fish barrier downstream and the impaired habitat quality of the reach.
